Humanitarian Priorities
-
Housing: Transitional or emergency housing for families or individuals in need.
-
Healthcare: Mental health treatment, prevention services, and other healthcare support for individuals and families.
-
Food: Providing food for those who are situationally or chronically food insecure.
-
Education: Supporting education initiatives that lead to employment opportunities or foster early childhood development.
This year, we also give focus on the women and children being served within these humanitarian priorities.
Deseret Industries and Deseret Manufacturing are additional Church resources. As such, consideration is given to organizations that request these resources, if beneficiaries of the proposed projects are case managed and introduced to additional community resources that address root causes of homelessness, low income, and related challenges. All Church resources provided through the Utah Area humanitarian office are intended to provide temporary support and strengthen beneficiary self-sufficiency.
