Utah Area Humanitarian Donations

Utah Area Humanitarian Donations

Please note: Humanitarian donations in the Utah Area follow a 12-month cycle. Once the donation is approved, the organization will have one year to complete the project.

Humanitarian Priorities

We collaborate with 501(c)(3) organizations operating in the Utah Area to implement humanitarian initiatives through both cash and commodity donations. We prioritize projects that provide temporary assistance, relieve suffering, and promote long-term self-sufficiency.

This year, we are placing special emphasis on addressing the needs of women and children, while continuing to support other vulnerable populations.

We fund projects across the following priority areas, with examples provided:

Housing – Emergency shelter, transitional and affordable housing, rental assistance and household commodities from Deseret Industries or Deseret Manufacturing

Healthcare – Mental health counseling, medical outreach, healthcare clinics, hygiene kits, and clothing from Deseret Industries

Food – Bishops' Storehouse commodities, low-income meal distribution programs, and emergency food assistance

Education – Early childhood literacy, job training, after-school tutoring, adult education and scholarships, and nutrition education

Other Humanitarian Initiatives – Projects that address urgent or underserved needs not listed above

Organizations receiving donations are expected to help beneficiaries progress towards greater self-reliance. This includes connecting individuals with additional community resources and regularly monitoring their progress.
